Bibliocave Official FAQ
Narrative Architecture & Logic
1. What is BiblioCave?
Bibliocave is a professional writing software designed for Narrative Architecture. Unlike standard word processors, it focuses on the logical structure, chronological consistency, and deep organization required for complex novels, scripts, and series.
2. How is BiblioCave different from Scrivener or Bibisco?
While Scrivener is a flexible folder-based organizer, Bibliocave is a structure-first tool. It separates the "what happened" (Fabula) from the "how it's told" (Plot), ensuring your story’s logic is airtight before you write a single word. Unlike Bibisco, which focuses on character interviews, Bibliocave focuses on the spatial and temporal logic of your entire world.
3. What is Narrative Database Engine?
Bibliocave is Narrative Database Engine - means it is a system built with database in order to allow complex operations, such as interconnected information for entities, and computer assisted plot and world building, similar to code writing and not just simple word processor.
Timelining & Plotting
4. Does BiblioCave support parallel timelines?
Yes. Bibliocave is specifically built to handle multi-threaded narratives. You can track parallel events across different locations or character groups, ensuring that your subplots never conflict with the master chronological timeline.
5. Can I manage multiple Points of View (POV)?
Absolutely. You can assign scenes to specific POV characters and visually track their individual journeys across the story's architecture. This makes it easy to spot if one character has been "missing" for too many chapters.
6. Does BiblioCave distinguish between Chronological Time and Narrative Order?
Yes. This is one of Bibliocave's strongest features. You can plan your story in the order the reader experiences it (the Plot), while the software keeps track of the actual chronological sequence (the Fabula) in the background. This is essential for stories with flashbacks, non-linear timelines, or time travel.
7. Can BiblioCave handle time travel?
Absolutely. BiblioCave works with the TimeFrame model, that uses simple and robust logic for managing timelines, parallel events and non-liner time related issues.
World Building & Logic
8. How does BiblioCave help with world-building?
Bibliocave allows you to build a logical database of locations, items, and lore, link them to timeline, and has some tools to overview for mismatches. BiblioCave also has vast canvas for specific world building features as well as for mind mapping
Technical & Compatibility
9. Is BiblioCave an offline or cloud-based tool
BiblioCave is offline-first. Your intellectual property stays on your machine, not on a remote server. This provides maximum security for authors and allows you to work without an internet connection - off line, off grid.
10. Can I export my work to other formats?
Yes, BiblioCave supports exporting to standard formats like PDF, TXT and .docx, making it easy to move your structured draft into a final formatting tool or share it with an editor.
